Liiebermann
Liiebermann is the production unit of K. Hamawaki (previously released on Fumiya Tanaka’s Torema records label) and Ko-ta from Stratosphere. Ko-ta is influenced by old techno pop music like Ymo, Kraftwerk and minimal techno like Jeff Mills and Basic Channel. He started making his own music in 1991 and djing in 1993 in Kushiro, Hokkaido. Ko-ta established the minimal techno label Stratosphere in 1997. Stratosphere released 7 EPs especially for DJs. He now gets DJ offers from all over Japan. K. Hamawaki fell into minimal music such as Jeff Mills and Basic Channel. He started as a DJ / producer when he was 15 years old in Hiroshima. K. Hamawaki contacted Ko-ta in 2001.
Ko-ta was deeply impressed from K. Hamawaki’s tracks and decided to release him on Stratosphere. Also K. Hamawaki released a track at Fumiya Tanaka’s Torema records in 2006. Liiebermann started in January, 2008. Ko-ta and K. Hamawaki work together from Kushiro, Hokkaido and Tokyo.
