born belgian in 1978, most likely feeling like a citizen of the world, jaycee got involved with music in the early 90's, first buying
records like every kids of that age but not just anykind of music..., it was belgian first mainstream electronic music...new beat!
a few more years and records away, got his first set of decks and joined his friends of the dhc, first underground techno movement in his very own city of belgium, liege. they threw gigs in wharehouses and well know belgian club 'la chapelle'.
that was the best way for him to learn how to work the decks and later the crowd. that's how he shared decks with respected talents from all over europe like oscar mulero, ben sims, marco bailey, stanny fransen to name only few of them. 1998, life somehow brought jaycee over america, miami. jaycee discovered a brand new dimension to music, melodies...
american house music that was! house was a perfect fit for such a life change. a year later, moved to london and shaped his taste for house music and took music technolgies courses at the universtity as long as starting producing beats and perfecting his dj skills through parties in european countries.
the begining of on long journey just begun, making a record!!!. it took jaycee few years of practicing in the studio to finaly release his first records on well known tony thomas's label new era in 2004. after that moved again in america where he started to believe that a change needed to made, a re-orientation music wise, house wasn't fitting his taste as house was saturating and his need for darker music and beat was kicking.
back to the roots and the old continent. 2006 jaycee moved back to belgium to jump into his producer disguise and and spend many many hours in studio alone or with his partner jeik (dany rodriguez) producing under digital coalition and nutownproject & jeik, together or alone jaycee ends up with a bunch of releases on both digital & vinyl labels like einmaleins musik, destination records (label run by dany rodriguez & jaycee), nomor records, obsolete, ambiosphere, immigrant industries, alpha matrix and recently teamed up with jona from get physical and results on a great release on very respected berlin based label resopal schallware........to be continued
